Dan Zimmer
PROFILE
Currently a NCAA division II collegiate player at Saint Joseph’s College, a small private catholic school in northern Indiana. Dan Zimmer has reached the highest levels both in the states playing for nationally ranked clubs as a youngster, and just recently abroad with training at the highest levels in both London England, and spells within Ireland and Scotland. He is a true product of the Rovers organization and firm believer in its morals and conducts. “Playing with Rovers is not just a club, but a way of life. I’ve seen the professionalism and craftsmanship come out in the players we have produced. We will take players at any level and help them get to where they want to go; not with the pressures and demands others feel at other clubs, but with the caring nature between friends and family.” EXPERIENCE Michigan Wolves State cup champions, as well as competitors in the MRL league and team births into the regional II national tournament. Won the Disney showcase tournament with the team while serving as a team captain. Zimmer’s team went on to reach a national ranking as high as 4th during his time with the Wolves team based in the Novi Wixom area. USL Super Y League National Pool Camp. An opportunity granted only to players by invite who play for teams during the summer months in the Super Y league. Zimmer trained for weeks during the winter months with some of the nations best talent with both players and coaches representing both the Michigan Wolves, as well as other teams he played with. Rockford High School. A four time letter winner at Rockford High school earning honors at the all district, all region, and all state teams. Zimmer was a 2 time captain and 3 time team most valuable player with his time with the Rams. He was part of the team that beat the East Kentwood team for an Ok- Red conference championship in overtime. EDUCATION Saint Joseph’s College, Rensellear, IN Currently studying Creative Writing English with the hopes of getting involved with journalism. The SJC Pumas have been an up and down team in recent years, but have shown promising moments like last year beating the number one ranked team, Northern Kentucky University. Zimmer was involved with the win with a game winning assist during extra time. He shown promise at the collegiate level with his knowledge of the game and bottomless heart he brings with him each time on the pitch. Zimmer has scored multiple goals in games and looks forward to next season with the tools and chances available to him next year. |
